Nathan Lyons (he/him)

Hi, my name is Nathan Lyons. I am honored to be working for Land of Manana Counseling. I
was born and raised in New Mexico have lived here my entire life. My undergraduate degree is
from the University of New Mexico. In 2023 I graduated with an MSW from New Mexico
Highlands University. I am currently enrolled in a doctoral program in ecopsychology and
environmental humanities from Viridis Graduate Institute and expect to graduate in late 2027.
I mostly work with individuals, ages 18 and up. My practice as a therapist draws upon being
relational and trusting that clients are the experts in their reality. I work individually with adults
and have supported clients working with grief, men’s issues, life transitions, anxiety, depression,
PTSD and recovery. My main modalities use an ecopsychological framework. Ecopsychology
examines how our environment influences our psychology and how our psychology influences
the environments we engage with. I also draw upon cognitive behavioral theory, mindfulness,
narrative theory, and existential theory to find the best support for my clients.
I provide services in person and through telehealth.
